The release of our Estate wines this month was a big hit. We want to thank everyone who came in to try our Utah wines, and say that we appreciate all the words of encouragement and support we have received. Utah law does not make it easy to operate a winery, so all the support has meant a lot to us. Your enthusiasm has already drunk up a lot of our wine stock! These are good problems to have! In the coming weeks, you’ll see “bottle sale only” on some of our wines. This means the stock has gotten low enough that we can no longer sell by the glass or offer tastings, and instead, offer only by the bottle for take-home or on-site consumption until our allotment is exhausted. Starting with the Estate La Crescent this weekend. But worry not if you miss out this year! The 2025 Estate white wines will be ready by next spring at the latest.
We have several new wines coming down the pike. Up first is our Cold Blooded line of wines. This new tier of wine consists of our fun daily drinkers, set at an entry-level price point. Meant to be easy drinking and approachable, with fun eye-popping labels that incorporate some Utah spirit into them. There will be 3 wines in total, a semi-sweet white, a light and soft summer red, and a fuller-bodied oaked red. We hope to release these in July or no later than August.

Reserve Syrah and Cab from the Rocks District! We are very excited about these wines. A very small batch for the first year, only one barrel of each, we expect this to go quickly! So, what is the Rocks District exactly? Well, it is a sub-AVA (American Viticultural Area) inside the famous Walla Walla AVA. This is a small section (less than 6 square miles) of the Walla Walla Valley located in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, just a couple of miles from the Washington border. This soil, as the name suggests, is covered in basalt rock, which absorbs heat and transfers it to the roots of the vines. This helps promote earlier onset of the phenological stages of the vine growth, such as bud break, flowering, veraison, and ripening. The surface stones radiate heat that warms the grape clusters and influences the production of phenolic compounds during ripening. The Rocks District is home to some of the best, most unique, and most sought-after grapes in the country. Particularly known for its Syrah, Cab, and Grenache. This will be released in July or August when our current release of cab and syrah is exhausted.
